Daily Bible Verse
This is something that is so hard for me to remember sometimes!! So often we worry about things (I, myself, definitely included) that we have no control over, or things that will not happen probably until way into the future, or possibly not even at all. And it's often very hard to remember this verse and really apply it, when we're worring a lot over something. Nonetheless, we have to strive to remember this verse and live by it:
"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on...Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?...Therefore do not worry about tomorrow....(you can find the whole passage in Matthew 6:25-34)
Further in Philippians Paul reminds us in verse 6 of chapter 4: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
He then goes on to tell us in the very next verse what we should be dwelling on (not our worries!) Verse 8 says: "Finally brethren whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things".
