  2. Aw, thank you, Leah! :) I had just recently come across this verse, and thought it was just so powerful! We(because of our counter-cultural convictions and way of life) are often ridiculed. And it can be easy(especially for a sensitive person like me) to fear man's opinion of me. So, I thought this was such a relevant and encouraging verse!

    Blessings to you, Leah!

  4. Hello there, Rebekah,

Thank you SO much for your sweet comment on my blog! And hey, long comments are always welcome, especially from you! I would certainly be your accountability partner for daily devotion times! Sometimes it can come easier to some people than others not because they are holier or more godly but because by nature, they have habit-forming and obsessive personalities (*ahem* like me :o) My challenge has been to keep God in the habit! Sometimes, I would find myself just reading through devotionals or reading the Word and not really having my heart in it...in other words, just going through the motions. Regardless of this, I still think it is essential to keep up the practice of daily "quite time" with God and making time to read His Word. If you ask Him for wisdom and discernment, I'm convinced He will give it to you. If you ask Him for help in keeping up a heart-felt, daily devotional with Him, I am ALSO sure He will greatly keep His hand upon you in this endeavor. God is faithful and when we ask Him for something, and then "put feet to our faith" He is probably very blessed---especially by people who desire to be closer to Him, and know more about His Holy Word! (Like you!)

I will keep you in my prayers and I covet your prayers for me during this "new year's resolution!".

You are such a dear sister in Christ, and I am so thankful to you!

    Blessings upon you, Rebekah!

    ~Leah

  6. www.pray-as-you-go.org has daily devotionals that are designed for those who commute to work. You download them onto your Ipod or MP3 player. That's what I've started to this year. I listen to it while waiting for the bus.
