Christmas Traditions
Does your family have any Christmas traditions? If so, I would love to hear all about them!!
Every Christmas Eve, we drive around our neighborhood, etc. to look at the Christmas lights and other decor people have put up. Afterwards, we return home and enjoy mugs of hot chocolate while Daddy reads to us the Christmas story from the book of Luke. It's such special family time, and makes for some dear, treasured, and precious memories that will last a lifetime! After that, we each open one gift. Beginning last year, I had a new idea for that part of the night! Rather than just hand my parents and brother their gifts, I instead hand them each a wrapped envelope which contains a clue (such as, "I contain your next clue. I'm cold and store food."). There will be 3-4 clues, each leading them closer and closer to their gift, until the last one reveals where the gift is hidden. It is SOO much fun, and my parents just loved it last year. So, I must say, that will probably become a tradition as well now! :)
Please tell me all about your family's traditions!

A family that I am very close to reads the same Christmas story every year, A Child's Christmas in Wales. I think they have a lot of Christmas books just hanging around at this time.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any traditions we have ourselves ...
I've never heard of that book. I'll have to check it out sometime!
