Prayer Request

I just received the following e-mail from my grandmother:

My friend, Thelma's, house was hit by the hurricane last night. She called me a 2:30am hiding in her bathroom while her windows were being blown out and glass and rain/water everywhere. Her house is in Crystal Beach and the hurricane had strengthened at the last minute into a hurricane and the center hit just about 7 miles east of her. The other bad news is that because she was putting on a room addition, her insurance company said they wouldn't cover ANY of her house until that got finished and the carpenter was delayed due to a variety of reasons and her insurance expired last night at midnight! She told me she sat in her bathroom praying not to die because of her kids and God DID spare her life, but she was totally distraught. Her power is still out and I can't reach her by phone because her cell phone was about out of charge when we got off the phone and her phone charger was under water. Please pray, she is in a fragile emotional state already.

If you would please keep this poor lady in your prayers, I would really appreciate it!!
The Lord's richest blessings to you all,

  1. OH! How terrible!! Yes, we will pray for her!! Wow! I just can't imagine...

Let us know if there is anything else that we can do for her or her family!! Again, we will pray for them!!!

    Through Christ always,

  2. Thank you so very much, Hannah! Your prayers really mean a lot to me, as I knew this lady personally and saw her often when we lived in Texas. I can't even begin to imagine what she's going through!!!

  3. Oh my, what a horrible situation. I will remember that family in my prayers. Please give us an update when you have one.

  4. I don't have an update as of yet, but I will share it with you all once I do have one. Thank you so very much for your prayers, and please continue to pray for her!

Hi!! Thank you so much for visiting my blog! Please come back often. Thank you for your comment as well; your input is always most welcome! Even if you disagree with something, I encourage you to leave a comment; I just ask that you do so in a loving and Christ-like manner.

God bless you!
